Updates
There is our first update about our member, Dr. Tine Munk, who took part in a podcast about memes (The Science Intersection) on Spotify titled: How Memes Are Changing Politics: From Ukraine to AI Slop. This was published last Friday, the 7th of August.
The podcast explores how memes shape political communication and participation. It examines Ukraine’s use of humour during the war, AI-generated memes and videos, political satire and Count Binface, while considering how repetition makes false information seem credible and why AI is making it harder to distinguish fact from fiction. It also asks whether political humour encourages engagement or distracts from issues that directly affect people’s lives.
